The Third Sector Awards (which are seen as "the Awards to win" in this dynamic, challenging, yet hugely rewarding sector for registered charities, not-for-profits, social enterprises and campaigning groups) aim to reward examples of outstanding campaigns, strategies, projects and performance, backed up by hard evidence of success.
How successful has the site been?
The previous two websites received a combined average of 270 visits a day, against 322 a day for the new site in its first six months. The new site has also allowed the charity to do new things, including hosting a video message from the Duchess of Cambridge. Families and professionals who have used the website have found it extremely useful. One mother said it was the first site she'd found that "covers all the choices and gives the information about everything you need".
What did the judges say?
Danielle Atkinson, head of digital and individual giving at Merlin, said: "The website, developed with the audience at the heart, remains engaging, easy to use and delivered to a very good budget."
We're absolutely thrilled for them (and of course for our amazing tictoc team who planned, designed, built and continue to work hard with TFSL to develop the site) so hope their heads aren't too sore this morning and they're managing to get on with the incredible work they do!
