As one of the world’s most exclusive golf clubs Loch Lomond, with it’s gorgeous setting on the banks of the eponymous loch, needed a website to match its reputation. The Club has a membership spanning over 40 countries worldwide, and every July plays host to The Barclays Scottish Open. The tournament features one of the best fields on the European Tour with the likes of Angel Cabrerra, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Ernie Els all playing in recent years.
Requirements
The main site needed to be visually stunning, to communicate the grandeur of the club, and its facilities. One of these facilities being the Spa, which required its own impressive website. However, the club also required a functional recruitment site to facilitate online applications, and a private social networking site for Members.
Solution
The site uses striking photography in a full-screen format with text that can be hidden in order to showcase the setting of the golf club, including the spa, restaurant and members rooms. The Members’ site is password protected, allowing them to interact with the club, and each other, from wherever they are in the world. tictoc supplied the content for the recruitment site, including interviewing members of staff about their experiences of working at the club to create engaging testimonials.
