The Scottish Health Information Network (SHINE) is a voluntary network of health information professionals in the NHS. They are committed to sharing services, sources and skills across Scotland. SHINE supports libraries and information services, while informing and influencing relevant policy makers on issues relating to health care.
Requirements
SHINE needed a new brand; as well as the development of a website to include a blog, an events calendar, and a searchable database of Members. It was also essential that the website could be easily maintained by SHINE’s members, who volunteer their time for the organisation.
Solution
tictoc’s content management system (CMS) meant that all the SHINE volunteers can update the site with ease. Vigorous research meant that we could advise SHINE on the best way to organise the site’s information architecture, making the website an excellent resource for the Scottish health community. tictoc is currently developing an invoicing system for SHINE in order to enhance the Membership management section. Accessed remotely through the website CMS, the system allows administrators to renew Memberships, and issue letters and invoices.
