The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the leading UK charity focusing on all muscle disease, aiming to improve the lives of all babies, children and adults affected.
Requirements
tictoc were appointed by MDC to completely overhaul their digital strategy, a key element of which was the re-development of the corporate site which had become out-of-date technically and as a marketing and information tool.
Solution
The new site has information for anyone affected by muscle disease, which affects over 60,000 adults, children and babies in the UK. It includes an interactive map showing what events are happening in your region, ranging from fundraising by diving with sharks to conferences and information days.
There is an innovative searchable information resource on clinical trials which allows users to find out about clinical trials into muscle disease and related conditions that are ongoing around the world. The site also contains a glossary to explain all of the medical terms that are often used when talking about muscular dystrophy.
The home page provides a range of information about news, events, research, campaigns and fundraising and displays the newest items in each section. MDC can also control other 'signposted' information, helping to direct users to relevant and topical information. Users can also quickly donate online.
The site uses tictoc's Content Management System which allows all site content to be quickly and easily updated.
We've also developed a number of microsites for the Charity including Tesco Charity of the Year, Young Pavement Artists Competition, My Online World, a microsite for the Four Course Classic golf event, and Trailblazers Campaign.
