CWDC was set up in 2005 to support the implementation of Every Child Matters, a new approach to the well-being of children and young people from birth to age 19. The organisation supports over half a million people in the children’s workforce including those in childcare provision, learning mentors, education welfare, foster care and social care.

Requirements
As a quickly growing organisation CWDC needed to develop an internet site which was flexible enough to grow as content was added on an ongoing basis. With so much content the site required powerful site architecture to allow the different target markets to quickly locate the content they needed. The project also included the development of a staff intranet and extranet.

Solution
tictoc undertook an assessment and audit phase involving stakeholder interviews and digital questionnaires to research CWDC's requirements, then generated a project scope that set out the proposed site architecture, defined the target markets, user journey analysis, wireframes, content analysis and design/technical solutions. Following refinement of the scope tictoc developed the visual design stylings and built a bespoke management system which met all CWDC's requirements. The site architecture and back-end system has been created so that all site content can be tailored to specific user's requirements, with content filtered and tagged by the CWDC's areas of work, regions and user types.
