Requirements
St Mungo’s wanted to refresh their site as it was looking tired and out of date. They also wanted to organise the information on their site so that it was easier to find, as the site had grown incrementally and was starting to be unwieldy. They asked that the new site should provide clear information to supporters about how they could help, and also wanted to make online donation a clear option for visitors.
Solution
tictoc worked with St Mungo’s and users of the site to define the target audience into clear groups, and defined a site structure that clearly defined the needs of these different groups - people who visit the site because they need help from St Mungo’s, people who visit the site because they want to help, and people who visit the site because they want information about the organisation (including press).
We developed a visual design for the site which highlighted the work that the charity does, and used pictures of the real people that St Mungo’s helps.
Using Flash animation on the navigation menus gave the pages interest, and strong colours give the site a bright, modern feel.
Requirements
The site was recently awarded Site of the Week by New Media Age magazine, which gave it a score of 83 out of 100 and described the site as "fantastic".
