Late yesterday afternoon we got a call from the BBC asking tictoc if we would like to appear on BBC 2's Working Lunch for a segment on the relevance of twitter and social networking to businesses. Our in house social media guru Kate jumped at the chance and even had to delay her luxury long weekend away in the highlands!
Filming live from a link up in Glasgow, Kate talked about the benefits of promoting your organisation or brand on twitter and the ways in which it can be achieved. Kate's own personal experience of how small businesses can benefit from twitter is highlighted by the very fact that her long weekend away was due to a hotel recommendation posted on twitter...and Kate even got a discount by being a loyal follower of the hotel - a new customer for the hotel and a discount for Kate makes everyone happy!
