tictoc SHINE's

tictoc are delighted to announce the launch of a new website for the Scottish Health Information Network (SHINE) after a rigourous design and development process.

SHINE is a voluntary network of health information professionals in the NHS. They are committed to sharing services, sources and skills across Scotland. SHINE supports libraries and information services, while informing and influencing relevant policy makers on issues relating to health care.

SHINE’s brief to tictoc included the design of new branding for SHINE as well as the development of a website to include a blog, an events calendar, and a searchable database of Members. It was also essential that the website could be easily maintained by SHINE’s members, who volunteer their time for the organisation. tictoc’s content management system meant that all the volunteers can update the site with ease.

tictoc is currently developing an invoicing system for SHINE. Accessed remotely through the website content management system, the system allows administrators to renew Memberships, and issue letters and invoices.

Alison Bogle, Website Project Co-ordinator of SHINE, said:

“I am very pleased that the new website is now live. tictoc met all our requirements and we found it particularly valuable to have an assigned project manager to lead us through the whole process. This project has been all about making it easier to share, use and manage information for SHINE and I am confident that the new website will enable this.”

Jo Kerr, tictoc Project Manager said:

“The SHINE website highlights the importance of presenting content through a well designed and highly usable information architecture. tictoc have given SHINE both a fantastic resource for Members, and a strong identity to communicate their objectives to the wider health community.”
