We're delighted to have been appointed by A+DS to develop this exciting new organisations website.

Architecture and Design Scotland (A+DS) is a new non-departmental public body, established by the Scottish Executive as the national champion for good architecture, design and planning in the built environment.

A+DS acts as a key delivery mechanism for the objectives of the Scottish Executive's Policy on Architecture for Scotland. Their main aim is to inspire better quality in design and architecture in the public and private sectors so that Scotland's built environment contributes in a positive way to our quality of life and our built heritage.

The key delivarables for the website are :

  • Accurately reflect the ‘national champion’ stature of the organisation
  • Communicate its wide remit and responsibilities and convey an aspirational and inspirational tone
  • Provide information to those wishing or considering involving A+DS in their project
  • Provide information on projects A+DS have previously assisted with
  • Contain a large amount of information on projects A+DS has officially reviewed
  • Act as an information resource/database to those working in the built environment in Scotland
  • Be managed almost entirely by A+DS using a CMS
  • Tap into a number of external databases to access shared information operated by other organisations e.g. RIAS, The Lighthouse
  • Promote best practice in Accessible web development
  • Be hosted on a reliable and secure platform
  • Have sufficient flexibility to evolve with the organisation on a continual basis
