Creative Loop

We're delighted to have been appointed to develop a new name and website for the (temporarily named), Future Skills for the Creative Industries.

The Future Skills for Creative Industries (FSCI) is a unique partnership between Dundee College, Aberdeen College, Adam Smith College, Cardonald College, Perth College and Reid Kerr College and key media industry partners led by Skillset, SQA, Scottish Screen and representatives from the Scottish Media Industries Skills Panel which includes representatives from the BBC Scotland, SMG, Channel 4 and independent production companies.

Over three years FSCI project seeks to improve the flow of work ready entrants to the media industry sector, enable partnership working between the colleges and industry to ensure the quality of students entering the labour market is high and enhances their employability. The project also aims to respond to industry priorities and significantly increase collaboration between colleges and the media industry through encouraging formal staff development between colleges and industry.

The FSCI project intends to increase the capacity of colleges to train and up-skill those employed in the media industry and freelance workers by providing regional hubs in strategic locations which will act as a focus for industry partnerships and provide flexible training.

Melanie Russell (Director, tictoc) comments
The project offers tictoc a fantastic opportunity to work in partnership with what will be a hugely beneficial initiative to an industry that is so closely linked to our own business. Being involved from a grassroots stage will enable us to become brand partners with the project and hopefully have an element of involvement in its success.

Helliate Rushwaya (FSCI) comments :
Overall tictoc's presentation was more responsive to the brief given therefore 100% of the audience reached a unanimous decision within minutes of the presentation which endorses its relevance to us."
