Who's your secret crush...
Well one tictocer's isn't so secret, twilight's Edward Cullen, who we were lucky enough to have a 'visit' from this week much to the delight of Lucy!
To get the ball rolling, a certain tictocer in New Biz has a secret crush on Martin O'Neil and mine, well that would be telling!
Who's your secret crush, we promise not to tell anyone.

You may already have heard that our brand new London office boasts fantastic meeting rooms, and some great green credentials like a wormery, herb garden, and recycling scheme. We're also pretty excited about the roof top garden, complete with outdoor sofas.
Sure, it looks a bit grey, and wintery now, but we're looking forward to lots of meetings outside come summer. Who's up for a barbie?

We're all grown up from our humble beginnings back in 1999 when the Power Mac G4 was the talk of the creative town and email was still somewhat unheard of! Now we're in double figures (as my Granny used to say!) so can start staying up after 9 oclock and all the talk is in weird jargon like UX and tweeting!
We had a few half lager shandies on Friday night and some haggis neeps n tatties to mark this momentous occasion and have created a nice widget on the tictoc homepage to celebrate these past hectic years!
Have a laugh at some of the pics from Friday night and feel free to post any comments or memories you feel we'd appreciate (happy ones please!)

I decided that this year I had to make better use of the fantastic crop of plums we get from our tree therefore made a stab at making jam! I've distributed jars to the girls here in the Glasgow office (sorry boys, didn't really think you'd be that bothered!) so will await their feedback! I can't promise I'll be the next Mrs Baxter as I just couldn't get the bloomin stuff to set so it's probably more like plum syrup!
Enjoy!

The Young Pavement Artists Competition (YPAC) is Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's annual contest to find the best young artists in the country, raise money for the charity, and have some fun. This year's awards were at the Natural History Museum, and I popped along to meet some of the lucky prize winners, and see some fantastic works of art. It's a little disheartening to realise your drawing is worse than a five-year-old's, but they really are very talented kids!
Erstwhile X Factor contender Chico was in attendance, and presented some of the prizes. He insisted on cosying up for a picture... at least I think it was that way round.
tictoc designed the YPAC website with interactive online drawing tool: see this year's winners and have a go yourself at pavementart.muscular-dystrophy.org

Proof of my carelessness can be seen in the above image! I just broke my glasses walking straight into a wall here in the office, shearing the leg clean off (mild bump above the eye too!)!
Clearly my thoughts about laser surgery have now been prioritised, anyone had any experience with this (laser eye surgery that is, not walking into walls!)?

The developers were feeling that there was something missing from the room and so we decided to print homepage screen shots of our websites. We started with just the most recent projects, but quite liked the result so ended up printing most of the sites from the last two years, over 80 screen-shots!
We've reached such a height up the wall that not even Tomek could stretch to and so we will be continuing to wallpaper around the room as new sites are launched.

One of the best things about working in the creative industry is the generally more relaxed nature of the offices; jeans & t-shirts instead of shirt & tie and getting to listen to music pretty much all day long!
A couple of days ago a link went around the 'net showing how to create a nice wee visualisation of your listening habits based on your Last.fm profile (here's our Last.fm profile page) which straight away just about all of us did!
It seems that we listen to quite a wide variety of music although the big winners are Boards of Canada, Blur and Belle & Sebastian.

It is Flying Ant Day here in Glasgow - fly, ants, fly! I can assure you this is a real phenomenon, Wikipedia even has an entry about it, so it must be true!
